Disable port blocking in the firewall program window

A firewall is a computer security program that acts as an intermediary between secure and untrusted connections. It directly affects the amount of occupied ports in the Windows 10 system. The name itself comes from English and means fire wall. The software filters potentially dangerous connections and excludes malicious content.

How to open on Windows10? This can be done through operating system paths. However, the tabs of new versions may not match the instructions. Therefore, it is recommended to use the input that opens when you press the Win + R keys. In the tab you need to enter “firewall.cpl”. If this does not help, then you can use a direct search on your computer for the name “Firewall” or find the address by the special name of the program.

When opening the program, the user will see a page with three columns. To the central list with red and green icons, but at this stage we are interested in the left column. In it you need to select the list item “Rules for incoming connections. After that, in the left column you need to click on the “Create rule” option, in the window that opens, select “For port”, click the “Next” button.

In a new tab, select which port we want to open. After “Next”, select “Allow connection”. In the tab where the “Domain”, “Private”, “Public” items are shown, nothing needs to be changed, all items are selected, on the next page we assign the port name in accordance with its number, then click “Finish”. Using the same principle, you should create a new rule for the UTP protocol. Recall that the previous rule was for the TCP protocol.

Using the “New Rule” tab, you need to set two more rules in the “Outgoing Connections” tab. This completes the task. The port is free for connection. If you need to close it, this can be easily done by selecting it from the list and clicking on the “Delete” option in the right panel.
